Temple Etz Rimon believes that we have an obligation to provide a community for our members and also to reach out into the world through individual and communal acts of gemilut chasadim (loving kindness), tzedakah (righteous giving) and tikkun olam (repairing the world).
The Mitzvah Committee helps to channel these intentions into concrete programs that have included collecting Books for Israel, providing needed items for homeless shelters, supporting local food banks, and contributing to the college education of an underprivileged Israeli soldier.
