LIFELONG LEARNING

Do not say, “I will learn when I have the leisure”; you may never…
Pirke Avot 2:5

Come Learn with Us!

The study of Torah is a lifelong process that does not end with Bar/Bat Mitzvah or even Confirmation.  Join our community as we study and learn with Rabbi Sherman and with each other.  We have covered topics such as: Ethical Wills, Foundations of Torah, History and Future of Reform Judaism, Jewish Approaches to Prayer, God and Theology, the Prophets, and Jewish Ethics.  Join as we engage in conversation, explore our history and culture, and enrich our lives through Jewish study.

Lifelong Learning classes are offered on several afternoons and evenings throughout the year.  Consult our Events calendar for dates, times and locations of classes and other cultural events.  RSVPs are required.  Most classes are free for members of Temple Etz Rimon.  Non-members are asked to pay $10 per class.

MUSINGS IN MUSAR
Our heads were spinning with new information and new insights during our introductory class to Musar. There was so much to learn! In our next class, we will focus on the first middah, searching for a balance between humility and pride. Bring your own dinner and join us monthly on Friday evening. Classes will continue monthly on February 1st, March 1st, April 5th, May 3rd and the final class is June 7th. See our Calendar for more information.
