Please join Cole and the PERTY youth group as they help clean up the beach for Cole's mitzvah project. This event is open to all, and is a great way to spend a Saturday morning. Meet on Saturday, May 4th, at 8:45 am, down on the sand just north of the Oceanside Pier. Look for the Temple Etz Rimon sign to find our group. Be sure to wear sunscreen and a hat, and bring along a water bottle. This event takes place from 9:00-11:00 am, and is sponsored by the Surfrider Foundation of San Diego.

Pilgrim Church has invited us to join them on their annual Pilgrim-age to see a Storm baseball game. The Storm is the Padres’ Class A Advanced California affiliate. If you’ve never been to one of their games, you’re missing out. They are tons of fun (think Bull Durham) and much less expensive than a Major League game. They will be attending the game against the Modesto Nuts on Sunday, May 26th. First pitch will be at 2:05 pm. They usually get a batch of $10 tickets on the 3rd base line just above the dugout. We have two opportunities to enjoy two very different baseball games. The Padres have planned a Jewish Community Day at Petco Park on Sunday, June 23rd. They will be playing the Dodgers. First pitch will be at 1:10 pm. PERTY is planning to attend this game. If anyone else would like to join them, please contact the temple office so we know how many tickets to purchase. The seats for this event are in the Right Field Lower Reserved section and are $26 ($8 less than the expected average gate price). Last year PERTY rode the Coaster to the game and are talking about riding together again this year. There’s nothing like an afternoon at the ballpark!
