WORSHIP

“Happy are those who dwell in Your house; they praise You forever!”
Psalm 84:5

Temple Etz Rimon offers intimate, informed worship and holiday celebration services.

TorahShabbat Services
At Temple Etz Rimon, we offer weekly Shabbat services, mostly on Friday evenings beginning at 7 pm.  Shabbat services on Saturday morning at 10 am are offered once a month. On the fourth Friday of the month, we offer an early Shabbat Service beginning at 6pm.  We are a community that values worship and the meaning that prayer brings to our lives.

Friday evening services celebrate Shabbat, and can include baby namings and other life-cycle observances.  An oneg, sponsored by one of our congregants, concludes the evening.

Services are held in the sanctuary of Pilgrim Church located at 2020 Chestnut Ave., Carlsbad.  Directions to Pilgrim Church

High Holiday Services
Our annual service schedule provides specific information.  We offer reservations to the community as space permits.

Other Holiday Celebrations
Etz Rimon marks other holidays by special celebrations.  For Tashlich, we gather at Tamarack Beach for the symbolic casting away of sins.  During Sukkot, congregants are invited to build and then share dinner in the Sukkah for our annual "Pizza in the Hut."  At Hanukkah each family brings a menorah to Shabbat services and we light candles together, brightening this dark time of year.  We celebrate Tu B’Shevat and Passover with communal Seders, and enjoy retelling the story of Esther each Purim.  Information regarding holiday celebrations can be found in The Pomegranate, our monthly newsletter.

Life Cycle Celebrations
Families are encouraged to mark their personal milestones with the congregation, such as baby namings, Bar and Bat Mitzvah celebrations, special anniversaries, birthdays and retirement.
